Using Technology
Technology is apart of our everyday lessons in second grade. We use computers, our ActivBoard, the listening station, and more to learn. Here are a few examples of AWESOME work!

Hands-On Learning
Students followed verbal directions from a parent volunteer as they learned and created a yummy map of Georgia's natural resourses.
We use manipulatives to learn and show our learning. In this photograph, Jose is using a fruity cereal to investigate fractions.
Work Stations
Students participate in work stations throughout the school day. During reading work stations, students work in pairs to reinforce reading, writing, word study, and grammar concepts taught throughout the year while I work with guided reading groups. In math, students work in small groups and participate in fact and independent practice, learning games, and guided math lessons.
Learning in Motion
Students inferred the meaning of poems by Georgia Heard. Then, interpreted them with movement for others to make inferences. Can you infer which animals these poems are about?
